-A Gift from Pretty Spooky: Free, Instant, Printable Creepmas Cards

While some homes just get a visit from Santa, The Pretty Spooky household has been visited by the Melekaliki Monster, over the past few years.
Perhaps it has something to do with the addition of our home tiki bar, The Sunken Compass?
It’s always fun to leave milk and cookies for Santa, but it’s even more fun to leave a Mai Tai for the Melekaliki Monster!
Because I LOVE The Creature from the Black Lagoon (which was one of my first Friday Night Feast ’N Fright episodes on the “Pretty Spooky Presents…” Youtube channel), and I love the vintage song, “Melekaliki Maka”— I combined the two and created “Melekaliki Monster”— a Pretty Spooky creation!
The cards are featured in the episode titled “Spooky Holiday Traditions | Free Spooky Cards“. This episode is jam-packed with Creepy Christmas decorating, a spooky spin on classic cocktails, and a Tiki twist on Christmas Dinner!
The verse is a riff on the classic vintage song, and I made the Melekaliki Monster image to match.
This little cutie makes me smile, and hopefully will bring a smile to your loved ones’ faces too!

The balance of creepy and cute causes these seasonal senders to be appropriate for those who are fans of the frightening, as well as those who are less likely to meander toward the macabre. And, they are yours to send — in just three steps.
All it takes is a box of blank, white A2 cards (4.5 inches by 5.5 inches) that can be found in just about any craft aisle of your basic, big box store, a printer, and only a few minutes.

Just open the first picture, below, load your printer with the number of cards you need, paying special attention to your printer’s directions for how to face the cards, and print the outside (front and back) of the cards.
Be sure to select the highest-quality setting that your printer has to offer for the clearest results. My printer works best on the AUTO-SELECT paper setting, with BEST quality chosen.
Please note that the image will print a bit darker on the paper than appears on an illuminated computer screen, so try printing just one card, as a test, and adjust settings or the image exposure to get the best results from your equipment.

Next, open the second picture, below, load your printer with the partially printed cards, checking to make sure that the cards are positioned correctly, and print the inside message.

Then, open the third picture, below, and position the matching envelopes in your printer, oriented to print the flap side.
This design is best suited for pointed envelope flaps.

You can always pen the addresses yourself. But, at this point, it would be easy to save a little time by printing addresses. Just flip the envelopes in your printer, and use your computer’s envelope template.
If you have a Mac, and want to match the card fonts, try the SignPainter font in Lime with a shadow effect, for the names, and Chalkduster in darkest yellow shade, or Mocha, for the addresses, like this:

Here is the blank envelope with the seaweed and sea star images to print and address by hand, or print and then reload into your pinter to print addresses with the fonts and colors described above– in case you wish to match the outside to the inside.

Happy Ghoulidays from our Home, Sweet Haunted Home, to yours…
Melekaliki Monster is the thing to shriek
When palm trees start to sway and creek
That’s the island creature creeping up on you
The fear will make your heart beat
Here we know that Christmas will be quite a fright
With fun to share by day and by pale moonlight

A Scary Creepmas to you

Just in case you’re ever unsure
You’ll find the legend is actually true
From the land where monsters sprout
